Reader’s view: City unfairly classifies households without kids
I recently attended a meeting of the planning committee for a Small Area Plan for Duluth’s university neighborhoods. I live in the affected area. At the meeting we were told that single-family homes are homes occupied by “married couples with children under the age of 18” and that fewer than 15 percent of the homes in Duluth are considered single-family. What!? What are the rest of us called or considered?
